On March 18, Professor Li Sichen of East China University of Science and Technology was invited by Wu Xiaoxing, a teacher of our college, to conduct academic exchanges in 22310 of the School of Science, and gave a special report entitled "Integral Zariski decompositions on smooth projective surfaces". Dean Ding Yiming, Vice Dean Zhang Chuanzhou, faculty representatives from the Department of Mathematics and Statistics and the Department of Systems Science, and graduate students majoring in mathematics attended the report meeting.
The report meeting was presided over by Jiang Jun, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics of our college, who first warmly welcomed the arrival of Mr. Li Sichen on behalf of the college, and introduced the excellent achievements of Mr. Li Sichen in the field of algebraic geometry to the teachers and students present.
In this report, Prof. Li Sichen introduced the Bounded Negativity Conjecture problem and the Bounded Zariski denominators problem in algebraic surfaces, and introduced the relationship between the two. Combined with the above problems, Mr. Li Sichen gave some classifications of algebraic surfaces with whole Zariski decomposition and the number of pickups is 2. The properties of the surface with an arbitrary number of pickups with an integral Zariski decomposition and the problems encountered in solving such problems are discussed.
Finally, Mr. Li Sichen had an in-depth discussion and exchange with the teachers and students present, and shared his unique insights on academic research. This seminar not only deepened the understanding of algebraic geometry and improved the academic literacy of teachers and students, but also stimulated everyone's enthusiasm for scientific research and further promoted the solid foundation of data science.
After the meeting, Dean Ding Yiming, Vice Dean Zhang Chuanzhou, leaders of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics and the Department of Systems Science had an in-depth exchange with Professor Li Sichen and took a group photo.
