Research Field

Major research fields focus on:


1. Graphene and 2D Material: To examine the properties and structures of electric double layers in graphene and other 2D materials, and to enhance selectivity and rapid mass transport through optimizing the microstructure and chemistry of these nanochannels.


2. Metal Organic Framework and Reticular Framework Materials: To explore the energy storage and mass transport mechanisms in highly ordered MOFs and similar reticular framework materials, aiming to develop the artificial ion/water channels that mimic the high selectivity and efficiency of biological channels.


3. Density Function Theory Development: To develope novel DFT methods and integrating DFT calculations with molecular dynamics simulations to enhance predictive capabilities for the low-dimensional and nanoporous materials.
